What we are looking for
An Engineering Support Specialist is responsible for creating and approving plan sets for residential PV systems. The candidate must be comfortable, confident, and knowledgeable both written and verbally in providing engineering support to Lifestyle Solar and its partners. The specialist must be comfortable creating and operating under a tight schedule in order to meet project deadlines and handling several projects simultaneously. The designer will be expected to interface with management, contractors, project managers, and teammates in a professional manner in order to bring designs, permits, and projects to completion.
Key Qualifications
- Works well in ambiguity
- Wells well with technical details and troubleshooting
- Flexible and adaptive towards rapidly changing processes and environments
- Excellent communication and written skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- 2+ years of technical experience or background
- Experience with CRM & online collaboration tools
- High proficiency in excel or equivalent
- Solar background strongly preferred but not required
Here’s what you’ll be doing:
- Thorough reviews and approving of system designs
- Work closely with solar contractors to ensure all designs are compliant and to specifications
- Provide technical support to customers and contractors
- Compile and communicate executive updates on a weekly/bi-weekly basis
- Daily tracking and reporting of projects, contractors, and customer status
